Laura Thompson, CDMP, PCM

Laura Thompson has been a member of the DBS team for nearly 10 years, initially as a consultant, hired to work on a variety of marketing related projects. As her position evolved, she became a full-time employee, first as a Marketing Media Specialist and later as Marketing Director.

Laura’s role currently is to oversee all marketing and communication strategy that takes place at DBS. She coordinates the annual marketing plan that structures the calendar of campaigns and helps guide the different teams that are under the umbrella of sales and marketing so that consistent messaging companywide can reinforce DBS promotions. She also handles the coordination of marketing at the national account level along with the carrier level.

Laura manages the overall cadence of marketing activity, including drip email marketing, social media, video, website and also the corporate identity and company culture campaigns. She takes a hands-on approach to virtually every aspect of team production, from developing creative assets, tracking campaign engagement, guiding and teaching the team on various technology or creative platforms, and looking for efficiencies to make the team more productive and continue to meet company goals.

Professional & Educational Affiliations
Laura received a BA in English Literature and Communication from the College of St. Scholastica and attained a Master of Arts from the University of St. Thomas. She also completed the Digital Marketing Professional program, where she earned a dual certification recognized by the industry: DMI Certified Digital Marketing Professional (CDMP) and the AMA Professional Certified Marketer (PCM) in Digital Marketing.
