DBS Names Jerry Moran Regional Sales Director; Kelly Bjordal Promoted to VP, Business Development
DBS has announced that Jerry Moran has joined the firm as Regional Sales Director for the North Territory, covering Minnesota, Iowa, Michigan, North Dakota and Wisconsin. Moran will report to Jeremy Robeck, Vice President, National Sales, and will focus on strengthening and building relationships while helping financial professionals deliver financial solutions for their clients.
“Jerry is an exceptional addition to the DBS team and a natural fit for where we are headed as an organization,” explained Robeck. “He brings a deep wealth of experience and will be an important part of our strategy for supporting and expanding relationships within several of our most critical accounts.”
Moran brings more than 25 years of experience consulting and collaborating with advisory teams and serving high-net-worth individuals, corporate institutions and family businesses. Before joining DBS, he served as the Insurance and Annuity Consultant for the Central Division at RBC Wealth Management. Prior to that, he was a Regional Insurance Specialist for U.S. Bank’s Private Wealth Management division. He also spent 12 years as an owner and partner of two insurance general agencies, specializing in the planning and distribution of insurance solutions for wealth management professionals and their clients.
As part of this move, Kelly Bjordal has been promoted to Vice President, Business Development. In this role, he will serve as a primary point of contact for national accounts, helping align partner initiatives with DBS resources and field support. Bjordal will also help advance the company’s growth strategy by collaborating with territory leadership to identify opportunities, expand existing relationships and develop new accounts that strengthen DBS’s footprint across the country.
“This restructuring represents an important evolution in how we continue to grow and develop our strategy as a firm,” said Kurt Fasen, Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing. “We’re excited about the direction DBS is going and look forward to driving key priorities that further strengthen our capabilities, deepen advisor relationships, and support long‑term growth.”
Bjordal has been with DBS for more than two decades and has helped build the North Territory into a thriving region. With more than 40 years of experience in the financial services industry, he began his career as an agent in western Wisconsin, where he built a successful book of business. He later helped build a MassMutual agency in the Twin Cities, and under his leadership, the agency grew to become a Top 25 general agency.
“These leadership changes reflect our continued commitment to meeting advisors where they are while expanding the depth of support we bring to every relationship,” said Chip Van Dusen, DBS Chief Executive Officer. “With Jerry joining the team and Kelly stepping into a broader role, we’re strengthening our ability to deliver to our partners.”
With these changes, the company looks forward to supporting its advisors more broadly by providing additional resources, solutions, and service in an even greater capacity.
