DBS Announces the Retirement of Scott Fryklund, VP of National Accounts
Please join us in extending our best wishes to Scott Fryklund, Vice President of National Accounts, who has announced his retirement, effective December 31, 2025, marking an important transition within the DBS Sales Team.
With nearly 44 years of experience in the Financial Services industry, Scott has built an impressive career spanning multiple life insurance carriers and distributors. His roles have ranged from underwriting to national sales management, always with a steadfast focus on supporting the needs of advisors. Throughout his career, Scott has been instrumental in expanding distribution channels and developing successful sales teams. His journey has included key roles at Allianz Life Insurance Company, Woodbury Financial, and ING/Reliastar, before bringing his expertise and passion to DBS.

At DBS, Scott’s contributions have been invaluable. He successfully developed and managed multiple accounts, consistently demonstrating his commitment to superior service. By leveraging his deep knowledge of carriers and markets, Scott helped customers strengthen their risk management solutions while supporting the advisors who serve them. His dedication, professionalism, and customer-first approach have set a high standard for excellence.

Following Scott’s departure, the firm is redefining the position to more effectively support its continued growth. In the meantime, Kurt Fasen will step in as interim leader until a new associate comes on board in early 2026.
As Scott enters retirement, he looks forward to spending more time with his wife, Deb, their grandchildren, and extended family. He plans to enjoy the beauty of northern Minnesota and all the activities it has to offer.
