DBS Announces Strategic Partnership with Kalamath Consulting Group
DBS announced a strategic partnership with Kalamath Consulting Group (KCG) at its 2022 National Sales Meeting held this past March. As part of the arrangement, KCG’s Cary Fry and Fletcher Brown are now collaborating with the DBS Sales Team to help educate and provide in-depth support for financial advisors who specialize in providing solutions for their business owner clients.
Kalamath’s core offering includes best-in-class Business Exit Plans for the growing number of businesses that are operating with outdated exit plans or without any formal exit plan in place. According to the 2019 Business Enterprise Institute Business Owner Survey, 81% of businesses in the U.S. will need to execute an exit plan within the next 10 years, highlighting the need for this service.
As noted by Kurt Fasen, DBS Sales and Marketing Executive, “We believe that DBS’s strength with the design and implementation of business insurance solutions along with Kalamath’s excellence with business exit plans makes for a powerful combination in the marketplace that both of our companies serve.”
Introductory meetings are already happening for advisors wanting to learn more about working with DBS powered by Kalamath. In addition to introductory and educational meetings, DBS is forming a DBS-Kalamath Inner Circle for advisors who are interested in working with DBS-Kalamath to facilitate business exit planning and related insurance solutions.
“Kalamath is truly excited about this partnership with DBS. The need for businesses to create and clarify transition goals that unlock their business value has never been greater,” Fry explains. “For most owners, the business is their greatest asset and not only provides for their retirement income but also creates a lasting legacy. This alignment will allow DBS advisors to deepen their relationship with their business owner clients and help those owners proceed with confidence to live their best life, while also realizing significant revenue opportunities the advisor may otherwise miss out on.”
In conjunction with Kalamath Consulting, DBS will offer executive briefings and advanced business exit planning education for advisors who decide to join the DBS-Kalamath Inner Circle. The exclusive content and services for those will be provided by Fry and Brown from Kalamath, along with Terri Getman, JD, CLU, ChFC, RICP, AEP (Distinguished), Advanced Sales and Business Development Director at DBS.
