Chuck Anderson Announces Retirement
Minneapolis, MN – Diversified Brokerage Services (DBS) – September 20, 2024
Please join us in extending our best wishes to Chuck E. Anderson, Vice President of National Sales, who has announced his retirement. Chuck joined DBS in 2021 as its National Sales Director, responsible for managing the external sales team, including the alternate distribution channels of the organization. He moved into his current role in April 2023.
“Chuck’s low ego, no drama, high impact approach earned him the respect of colleagues and friends alike, and his constructive and motivational nature will be missed,” notes Kurt Fasen, LLIF, LUTCF, Executive Vice President of Sales & Marketing. “The team flourished under his leadership, and we saw incredible growth in the focus and commitment our sales directors exhibited toward the advisors we serve. Chuck is an icon in the industry with a tenure that is staggering, and we are a better organization because of his influence.”
With over four decades in the business, Chuck has held key positions in sales, operations, technology and marketing. Prior to joining DBS, he served as National Sales Vice President for the Independent Distribution Group at Securian Financial’s individual life insurance division. Before that he worked at Prudential as Senior Vice President of Business Development for their individual life insurance sales and served for many years there in various other roles, including being selected to be part of the start-up team for their brokerage distribution channel.
“Because of Chuck’s longevity in the industry, he brought an incredible amount of insight and perspective to his role within the firm,” explains George “Chip” Van Dusen IV, DBS President & CEO. “He has had a remarkable ability to lead and inspire the sales team, and his impact will be felt for some time as he moves on to what’s next. On a personal level, I’m excited to see what’s next for him.”
Chuck has remained very active in the industry throughout his impressive career. He is passionate about life insurance and has held several industry leadership roles within NAILBA, LIDMA, ACLI and AALU. He was recognized in 2015 for his outstanding role in the industry by receiving the NAILBA Chairman’s award, presented annually to the individual who has most exemplified leadership and contributions to the Life Brokerage Industry during the current year.
“It is bittersweet to see Chuck close this chapter of his life, but I know that there are great things still in store for him as he moves on,” adds Victoria “Tori” Van Dusen-Roos, DBS Chief Operations Officer. We’ve known Chuck for many years and watched his career take shape even before joining DBS, and it’s admirable to see what he’s accomplished. His passion, enthusiasm, and positivity towards everything in life is unmatched. I will miss working with Chuck. He has been a tremendous asset to our organization.”
Chuck and his wife, Teri live in Maple Grove, Minnesota where they enjoy spending time with their blended family, particularly their grandchildren. Most assuredly this move will allow for more leisure time activity, including travel, for which they share a passion. Chuck is a proud cancer warrior having battled and won against lung cancer in 2020.
