Steve thoroughly understands the importance of life insurance planning and believes it’s an integral part of any sound financial plan, a belief that was cemented early in his career when his first appointment was his first sale and unfortunately his first death claim. When Steve was able to personally deliver a check to a widow and her three-year-old daughter, his love affair with life insurance began.
Steve began his career with Metropolitan Insurance and quickly moved through the ranks with promotions to Sales Manager and District Manager before moving into long-term care. He then moved his practice to John Hancock. There, he was recognized as one of the top producers of LTC insurance in the country but chose to reenter sales management to oversee the brokerage arm of their LTC insurance division.
As Regional Vice President he ran the LTCI distribution, and when JH decided to exit the LTC market, Steve was hired by Lincoln Financial as a Marketing Director before landing at DBS. Steve feels advisors can often feel inadequate having the life insurance conversation to which his slogan has always been, “You be the advocate and we will be the experts.” Steve is looking forward to working with DBS where he can offer all the top carriers and products.
Steve lives in Buffalo, New York with his wife of 41 years, Kathleen. He has three grown children and six grandchildren. His favorite pastime is sitting around the fireplace enjoying the sunsets of Lake Erie with his family.
