JR’s career in the life insurance industry began with Prudential, where he worked as a life insurance agent and in the Prudential Customer Value Center. There, he worked with clients, agents and wholesalers, servicing in-force projects. He then took a position in a financial planning office where he served as a Client Service Manager, focusing on life insurance while providing full concierge service to clients. In this role, he was introduced to DBS as their brokerage general agent, and he was drawn to the role life insurance can play in an overall balanced portfolio.
Now at DBS, JR thoroughly enjoys working with advisors to find the right life insurance solution for each client situation and delights in the fact that no two cases are quite the same. Knowing that he is helping clients make positive changes in their financial life, no matter the size of the policy is extremely fulfilling, and he finds satisfaction in the partnership he’s building with advisors who want to help clients meet their financial goals and protect what they’ve built.
When not at work, you’ll find JR at the golf course. A true lover of the game, he’s had a club in his hands since he was two years old, perhaps due to the fact that his father is a local PGA professional and manages a golf course. In fact, he played varsity golf all four years in college and was Team Captain his senior year. He enjoys anything and everything sports and spending time with friends at the cabin in both the summer and winter.
